The 2019-2023 borough council commissioned a masterplan, drawing on previous work undertaken by both the council and Guildford Vision Group.
The current regeneration project is being led by Guildford Borough Council who have appointed a team of planning, design and communication experts with a track record of delivering high quality regeneration.
They are working with Surrey County Council, landowners, business, academia, public sector partners, local groups and residents to prepare a deliverable plan that will improve our town.
The council appointed award-winning architectural practice, Leonard Design to lead the project. The masterplan incorporates residents’ views which have helped shape the project.
GVG is lobbying to have the key elements of the masterplan, especially the Flood Alleviation Scheme, included in the update of the 2019 Local Plan now underway.
